Delete your Bodhi account

You can delete your account and the data stored with it at any time. Here is how, and exactly what is removed.

In the app (fastest)

  1. Open Bodhi and go to the Profile tab.
  2. In the Account section, tap Delete account and data.
  3. Confirm. If you signed in with Google, you will be asked to confirm your Google account once more.

Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.

If you cannot use the app

Email hello@stardance.io from the Google email address you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my Bodhi account". We will delete the account and its data within 30 days and confirm by email. If you only used Bodhi as a guest (without signing in), your account has no email attached, so please delete it in the app; uninstalling does not remove it.

What is deleted

  • Your account (the sign-in record held by Firebase Authentication).
  • Your bookmarks, practice records, trivia scores and preferences on our servers.
  • Everything the app stored on your device, such as sutra-copying progress and counters.

Our hosting and sign-in providers may keep routine technical logs (such as connection records) for a short period under their own policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
